Creating the Psymbiosis Logo

I wanted to create a logo that moved the theory of symbiosis away from the biological ownership, and more into a psychological aspect. The phoenix rising is often associated with individuals who go through a process to reclaim their lives, something I see a lot within therapy and my clients.
The Psymbiosis logo tells this story in a single image.
At the base — the ashes and tangled string. The parasitic state (-/+). The starting point. Where many people arrive: exhausted, stuck, caught in cycles that repeat despite every effort to break them. The dark tangled form at the bottom represents the cost of a mind and body in conflict. The thing is, the ashes are essential for the phoenix to be born, like peoples experiences are essential an past are essential for the person's journey.
Rising through the centre — transformation (0/+). The work begins. The relationship starts to shift. No longer purely destructive, beginning to find balance and direction. This stage is uncomfortable and non-linear — but it is movement.
At the peak — the phoenix. Mutualism (+/+). Both benefit. Mind and body no longer in opposition but in genuine reciprocal relationship, each strengthening the other. This is not symptom reduction. This is sustainable, embodied transformation.
